APX mode for HTC One X Intl.

This application reboots your HTC ONE X Intl into APX mode. I have tested it on 2 devices and I didn’t have any problem (apart the fact that I couldn’t do much while APXéd). It’s useless so far because there’s no way right now to talk to the device (no SBK algo available). Use it for experimenting. It requires a rooted phone.

Use it only if you really really know what you are doing!
This is not brick safe – it may render your device inoperable.
I may not be held responsable for any misuse.

Remote Unlock

As you might have noticed, a new service is now available: Remote Sim Unlock

If none of the available free methods work for you, you can purchase an unlock code for your phone for more than a decent price. The service is based on a 3rd party application (with due costs) and it generates unlock codes based on the IMEI of the phone. Because different carriers code their phones in different way, you have to make sure you’re not using an unsupported network. Also make sure your device is supported.

Please check out the supported devices page. If you really need to unlock another brand, or you’re just locked in an unsupported network, just leave a message and I’ll manually look into it as manual unlocks are possible.

Creepy bug recently discovered – patched

Everyone has gone crazy about the latest bug that allows 3rd parties to execute USSD code on specific android phones (my Sensation is vulnerable too).  j4n87, senior and very active member of XDA has already submitted a patch in this article. Although the vulnerability was disclosed quite quickly and I don’t think there are lot’s of sites hosting this malware, I do recommend patching your android dialer. It’s just better to be safe than sorry. I’m curious, though, how long will it take to see  official patches?

New tool: universal sim lock for htc devices

The title says all.
Some of you didn’t notice, sim lock != sim unlock. Why would anyone re-lock their phone?.. (e.g.: returning the phone to service with valid warranty requires the same lock status, just saying..). If the phone is already locked, this service will change the unlock code.

This is still experimental, so no instructions are provided, use it only if you really know what it does. For now, the new unlock code will be displayed in hboot.

Promoting this site keeps it online with both free and paid (but quite cheap) services. If you found anything useful here, please Like!
